Wrought bronze bracelet

KM 26747: Twisted Bronze Bracelet of Roman date
from Persia

A bracelet crafted from bronze, a very frequently used metal of the time, was found among Valeria Callityche's personal belongings. The twisted pattern of the bronze demonstrates considerable workmanship, although the bracelet cannot be taken as an indicator of great wealth or status due to the common nature of both the metal and the pattern. The bracelet could have been acquired while the woman was enslaved - possibly as a gift from her master?
