This volume includes a manuscript copy of an Arabic treatise on al-ṭibb al-nabawī, which is “Prophetic medicine” or “the Prophet’s medicine,” which was developed by religious scholars deriving medical principles from the Qur’an and Sunnah (traditions of the deeds and sayings of the Prophet Muḥammad) to give medicine an Islamic character.
