Maḥmūd ibn Muḥammad ibn ʻUmar al-Jaghmīnī (d. 1344) Qānūnchah fī al-ṭibb In Arabic 1475 or 1476 Manuscript codex on Arabic paper 130 x 85 mm Isl. Ms. 613

This compact volume contains a manuscript copy of the Qānūnchah (“little Qānūn”), a popular Arabic medical compendium. In his preface, the author claims to have compiled his work from extracts taken from ancient works on medicine, though a review of the work suggests that he simply drew from Ibn Sīnā’s (Avicenna) (ca. 980–1037) renowned Qānūn (Canon).
