Temple Graffiti: Symbols
Graffito T50. Symbol
This graffito, located just to the left of center at the top of the image, is similar in shape to the elongated butterfly design seen over the center of the figure’s torso in graffito T4. It is located among a confusing assortment of other faint marks, including what might remain of the fringe from a textile design at lower right, and it is not unlike the patterning seen inside larger textile graffiti like T37 and T38. The letter E, at center right, is a modern addition.
