- Jun ware ceramic tea bowl waster

This blue Jun ware tea bowl fused to the container meant to protect it. Copper pigments were used in carefully controlled firing conditions to create bright purple splashes on the vivid blue glaze. However, something went wrong during the firing of this vessel. The result is a striking contrast of elegant bowl forever joined to its coarse container.
