The goddess Mut, who wears the double crown and uraeus cobra associated with kingship in the statue at left, came to be identified with the mother of ruling kings.

 

Bronze military diplomas such as the one at right, which was found in Egypt, were given to veterans of the Roman Army upon their discharge.
