The Egyptian Staff of the University of Michigan Expedition to Kom Aushim (Karanis), 1924-1935

 
The Karanis expedition employed many Egyptians from nearby villages for archaeological work and camp maintenance.

 

 Among the Egyptians employed by the Michigan team were two women who were involved in clearance work on site, as well as in the Michigan expedition house.
